Cimenterie d’Ali-Sabieh S.A (CIMAS – Ciment Arrey) was established by decree in 2012 and officially inaugurated on 9 February 2013 in Ali-Sabieh; 90 km from Djibouti City, by His Excellency Ismail Omar Guelleh, President of the Republic of Djibouti. CIMAS operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Economy and Finance in charge of Industry, led by His Excellency Mr. Ilyas Moussa Dawaleh, and represents a strategic pillar of Djibouti’s national industrial development.

Since the start of its operations, CIMAS has grown into one of the leading cement producers in Djibouti, guided by a founding vision to supply high-quality cement in support of the country’s construction and infrastructure sectors.

With an installed capacity of approximately 600 tons of Clinker per day from indigenous raw materials. This would enable to supply the market upto 190,000 tons of Ordinary Portland Cement Grade 42.5R, entirely manufactured locally. Over the years, CIMAS has expanded its capabilities through strategic investments, the integration of modern technologies, and the implementation of strict laboratory-based quality control systems to ensure product excellence and consistency.
